Collection: Protection Jewelry

Protection charms in solid gold — symbols people have worn for centuries, made in a material meant to outlast the person wearing it.

The symbols

The evil eye, also called the Greek eye or nazar, is worn against ill will. We make it in plain gold and with hand-applied blue enamel, which is the version most people picture.

The figa hand — a closed fist with the thumb between the fingers — is the luck charm Brazilians grow up with. Also known as the mano fico.

The hamsa, the open hand, appears across Middle Eastern and North African traditions.

The tree of life and the four-leaf clover round out the collection, for family and for luck.

Sizes that layer

Most of these are cut narrow — the figa is 4mm across, the evil eye pendant around 13mm — specifically so they can hang together on one chain without crowding. Protection charms are often collected rather than bought once.

Solid gold, made in Brazil

Available in 10k, 14k and 18k. Never plated, so the symbol does not wear away with the finish.
